About the Instructor

Maria Williquette is a yoga teacher and psychotherapist licensed in both WA and OR. She has been teaching yoga with an emphasis on using yoga therapeutically for over 14 years.

Maria has been traveling to India for years and her time there (and in Nepal and Sri Lanka) has profoundly deepened her practice and understanding of yoga. Maria holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology and has a private counseling practice in Sellwood. It is her passion to combine the wisdom of yoga with the study of psychology to create a therapeutic and deeply healing yoga practice.

As a teacher, Maria embodies depth and connection, joy and creativity. Both on and off the mat, Maria continually strives to learn and grow from every moment, from every interaction, and from every possibility that life offers. She is also a mom of two little kiddos, an avid gardener, and a voracious consumer of books.
